We recently went on a trip to Washington state. Ty's brother and his wife (Wade and Julia) have a house in Poulsbo, right on the Puget Sound. They have the cutest little guest house that we were able to stay in. (you can check it out here--they rent it out for vacations!) They have access to the water right from their backyard. We had such a great time!!!!!

The first day we were there, Wade took the boys out to check his crab pots. We definitely came at the right time--during crab season!
They caught 11 dungeness crab!
Porter was pretty proud of their catch!
We spent the evening around the dining room table cracking open the crab and getting out all the meat. I will no longer be scared to order crab legs after a couple hours of this!
This is the freshest crab you will ever see! Right from the ocean onto a plate within several hours (and this plateful is only about 1/5th of what we got!) It was the best crab I have ever eaten in my life. While we were there, in addition to eating as much crab meat as we wanted, Julia also made crab cakes and crab bisque. YUMMY!!!!! Thanks Wade and Julia!
